The cost of Cosmetology school has skyrocketed in the past 5 years and we wanted to find a way to let everyone interested in the industry have a chance to soar, which is how the Bob Steele Salon apprentice program began!

In this world, it has been extremely difficult to attend school while also paying bills. Many have to pick up a second job after hours waiting tables or tending bar. Not to mention, the cost of attending cosmetology school has skyrocketed to over $20K -  with most taking out student loans.  This common pathway into our industry is a hard start into a career where time is needed to build a solid client base that affords respectable pay.  We reevaluated this structure and decided it was time to break the cycle into something healthier for those entering our stylist career path.  With that in mind, we developed a PAID, NO UP-FRONT COST Apprenticeship program that would allow for new talent to gain hands-on training from the best in the industry while logging the hours needed to obtain a hair design license.
